Kevin Sausage will get R.I.P.D

Kevin Sausage has signed onto the Robert Schwentke's (Red-colored, Flightplan) R.I.P.D, as the villain. R.I.P.D. informs the storyline of Ryan Reynolds' cop who, getting been wiped out at work, is employed right into a team of dead police offices, the Relaxation in Peace Department. The Univeral film is going to be an adaptation from the Dark Equine comic by Peter M. Lenkov. Ryan Reynolds is set to experience Nick Master, the lately killed cop out to catch their own killer, with Shaun Bridges as his older, more knowledgeable partner.  Kevin, fresh from playing another comic villian, Sebastian Shaw, in X-Males: Top Class, appears keen as always to maintain themself busy getting lately finished Crazy, Stupid, Love, with Jayne Mansfield's Vehicle presently in filming.  Mat Manfredi (Clash From The Leaders, Aeon Flux) and Phil Hay (eerr... Clash From The Leaders, Aeon Flux) would be the principle scriptwriters, that might cause some to wince, but hopefully using the strong source material, along with a great cast, don't be surprised a bit more from their store then your bracketed good examples might suggest. With Kevin as much as not good again, and also the rather tantalising prospect from the Reynolds/Bridges partnership to get him (has Kevin already 'got' Ryan within the real life?) we believe this may be one comic adap to keep close track of.

Spike Lee is officially directing the Oldboy remake

_*Malcolm X*_ *director Spike Lee has officially signed on to helm the
English language remake of South Korean thriller _Oldboy_.*

The confirmation that Lee will direct comes on the back of the
announcement that the director is currently filming _Do The Right
Thing_ sequel _Red Hook Summer_.

“It’s a great honour to put this special project into the
hands of such a gifted writer and iconic director,” says
_Oldboy_ executive producer Nathan Kahane.

The original 2003 _Oldboy_ was directed by Chan-wook Park, and
followed a man who's imprisoned for 15 years. When he's inexplicably
released, he must find out the reason for his incarceration.

Will Smith has long been associated with the remake, though a lead man
has yet to be officially cast in the remake.

Still, with Lee at the helm, our interest in the film has tripled.
It’ll be interesting to see if he can make his _Oldboy_ into
more than just another remake.
